Andrew, who has been around the track since he was about seven-years old, continues to be one of not only our top grooms, but has added "trainer" to his resume.

 

Ward, along with Wayne Watson, handle the chores for the Dr. Hugh Baird stable and he has been the caretaker of such stake stars as Maritime champions Clinton Debriefed, Le Win Skied, Argo Flutie, and years back For Men Only.

 

This year Ward made headlines as the groom of Allamerican Tiki, who was the first two-year old in North America to qualify and sold for $ 44,000 at this years Twos In Training sale in Ontario.

 

Over the years though, his favourite remains champion Clinton Debriefed who still holds the distinction of the fastest Maritime bred two-year old in the Maritimes after shocking the Fredericton fans in 2002 with a blazing 1:56.2 record that still stands today.
