 Strangles Confirmed at TruroDr. Paul Hogan of the Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission told Trot Insider this morning that test results received today confirm that one horse at Truro Raceway has tested positive for Strangles (S. equi). Therefore, two barns will be under quarantine until such time as all horses in those barns have three negative cultures for S.equi. The swabs are scheduled to be taken on February 17, 24, and March 3. Racing will continue at the track with the next card scheduled for Sunday February 22.
